Ron Sweet

Ron Sweet is the founder of Extra Mile Chaplains, a ministry devoted to walking alongside those who go the extra mile everyday.  Our mission is to support the spiritual and emotional well-being of First Responders in STL by providing a relatable, approachable chaplain who builds meaningful relationships, offers consistent care, and integrates seamlessly into the department's culture and daily life.  Prior to starting Extra Mile Chaplains, Ron spent over 30 years in pastoral ministry, having worked in various roles at churches in Missouri, Florida, Virginia, and Illinois.

Ron has been married to his beautiful wife Michele since 1998 and they have three college age/young adult children. When not pouring into the lives of people, Ron enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dog Roxie, watching sports, and going to classic rock concerts.
